Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients during night shifts, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Operate and manage advanced life support equipment, including ventilators and hemodynamic monitors
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Respond rapidly and effectively to emergencies and code situations
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart and handoffs at shift change
• Ensure all required certifications, vaccinations, and compliance items are completed according to policy
• Participate in unit-level quality and safety initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license (verification required prior to start)
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS and NRP as applicable
• ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends
• Completion of required compliance profile within two weeks after start date
• Successful completion/verification via Nursys and any required facility checks

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of critical care principles, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in medication administration for critically ill patients, including vasoactive drips
• Proficient clinical assessment and prioritization in high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Familiarity with infection control practices and immunization/documentation requirements
• Prepared to complete Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
