Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care with compassion and attention to detail
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as ordered
- Monitor patient conditions, document changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to keep operations smooth
- Support residents' daily living needs while promoting dignity and independence
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings to improve outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations
Qualifications
- Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license valid in New Mexico (required)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Comfortable working scheduled day shifts Wednesday through Friday, 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
- Strong communication skills, compassion, and a team-player attitude
- Local candidates only (position is designated as local)
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles, medication administration, and wound care
- Skilled in patient assessment, charting, and reporting changes in condition
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with long-term care or skilled nursing workflows is a plus
- Comfort with electronic health records and standard documentation practices
