Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned residents
- Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
- Perform focused assessments and report significant changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain accurate electronic charting and comply with facility policies
- Support resident comfort, safety, and dignity during your shift
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Alabama or eligibility to practice in Alabama
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and follow the rotation schedule
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screenings as required
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented, patient-first attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and accurate documentation
- Skilled in basic nursing assessments, wound care, and ADL support
- Comfortable using electronic medical record systems and clinical charting
- Good time management and prioritization during busy night shifts
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
