Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 4x10 schedule (four days per week), Day: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Night: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM; rotating shifts including occasional weekends. Shifts may vary (8, 10 or 12 hours) depending on coverage needs.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams across a full range of adult and pediatric populations, using best practices to capture diagnostic images
- Administer and prepare contrast media safely and accurately, following facility protocols
- Start peripheral IVs when required to support contrast administration and patient care
- Operate and optimize Siemens MRI systems and MR pulse sequences (T1/T2, Gradient Echo, Diffusion) to produce excellent diagnostic studies
- Perform MR angiography (MRA/MRV) and specialized cardiac and vascular protocols with attention to detail
- Document procedures and patient information clearly and promptly in Epic
- Adhere to radiation safety principles, isolation precautions and PPE guidelines to protect patients and staff
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent care
- Provide compassionate patient preparation, positioning and communication to reduce anxiety and improve imaging outcomes
- Assist with orientation and teamwork efforts to support unit staffing and patient care continuity
Qualifications
- Washington state MRI technologist license in hand (required)
- Minimum 3 years of MRI experience (note: travelers with 2 years may be screened)
- Proven experience with Siemens MRI systems
- Competent in contrast administration and peripheral IV insertion
- Familiarity with Epic for charting and documentation
- Experience performing MR angiography and advanced MR pulse sequences
- Comfortable working rotating shifts including occasional weekends
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- MR pulse sequences: T1, T2, Gradient Echo, Diffusion
- MR Angiography (MRA/MRV) and vascular imaging protocols
- MR Cardiac protocols including stress and non-stress studies
- Special procedures: MR Aortogram, MR Pulmonary, lower extremity runoffs
- Image post-processing: ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, MPR
- Use of surface coils and optimization of image quality
- Siemens MRI system operation and troubleshooting
- Epic charting and accurate electronic documentation
- Contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts
- Radiation safety, isolation precautions and PPE best practices
