Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients to identify functional abilities, limitations, and therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment programs using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices
- Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to maximize patient independence
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the rehabilitation team to coordinate care
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with policy
- Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive equipment to support daily living
- Adhere to the State Practice Act and facility policies to ensure safe, compliant practice
Qualifications
- Current California Occupational Therapist License (required)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and treat patients per physician orders
- Working knowledge of assistive devices and therapeutic procedures
- Familiarity with the State Practice Act and regulatory standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

- Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment planning
- Patient evaluation and progress measurement
- Design and implementation of treatment programs
- Use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
