Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist providers during ENT and minor outpatient surgery procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare exam and procedure rooms, set up instruments, and maintain sterile technique
• Collect and record patient histories and vital signs accurately and compassionately
• Provide pre- and post-procedure instructions and patient education to support recovery
• Coordinate patient flow, rooming, and discharge to keep the clinic running smoothly
• Maintain compliance with Arizona MA requirements and participate in Monday orientation when needed
• Communicate clearly with team members to ensure excellent, timely patient care

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant credential required
• Active Arizona MA certification or eligibility that meets Arizona state MA criteria
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in ENT and/or outpatient surgery settings strongly preferred
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (day shift), reliably

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Active MA certification required (Arizona)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with outpatient surgical workflows and ENT clinical procedures
• Strong patient care skills including vitals, patient prep, and basic clinical assessments
• Knowledge of sterile processing and instrument handling for minor procedures
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to support providers and patient flow
• Attention to detail for compliance and documentation
