Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality peri-procedural nursing care for interventional radiology patients
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Perform patient assessments, prepare procedural areas, and manage documentation in the EMR
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care support when needed
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and post-procedure care

Qualifications

• Active NH Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (procedural departments, critical care, or emergency department experience preferred)
• Experience with moderate sedation and procedural nursing (Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Cath Lab experience a strong plus)
• Ability to live within a 40-minute radius of the hospital (local travel expectation)
• Comfort working independently and as part of a close-knit procedural team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in interventional radiology procedures such as EKOS, angiograms, Trevo, cerebral coiling, and biopsies
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and common monitoring systems (GE monitoring, Mac Lab)
• Experience with Philips Bi-Plane imaging equipment or similar platforms
• Strong peri-procedural assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills
• Ability to handle critical care situations and moderate sedation monitoring confidently
