Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert outpatient care in diabetes, thyroid disorders, and osteoporosis for adult patients
• Manage complex endocrine conditions with evidence-based, patient-focused treatment plans
• Document and coordinate care using EPIC EMR to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate closely with an on-site Certified Diabetes Educator when available to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize clinic ultrasound capabilities when clinically indicated
• Contribute to practice improvement, patient education, and interdisciplinary teamwork to advance care delivery

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Endocrinology (required)
• MD or DO degree
• Interest in a permanent placement; locums candidates will not be considered
• Cannot accept visa candidates; must not require sponsorship
• Experience in outpatient endocrinology with a focus on diabetes management, thyroid dysfunction, and osteoporosis
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR
• Ultrasound experience and Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential are valued

Education

• MD or DO
• Endocrinology fellowship training (Board Eligible/Board Certified)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of diabetes, thyroid disease, and bone health
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record workflows
• Comfort performing or coordinating clinic-based ultrasound when needed
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
• Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality outpatient care
