Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, rotating schedule that includes every-other-weekend (rotating, spans day and night)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care in a high-volume ED
- Assess, triage and monitor patients using Cerner documentation and GE monitors
- Safely administer and manage infusion therapy using Baxter pumps
- Collaborate closely with the ED team, techs and unit clerks to maintain smooth operations
- Coach peers and deliver constructive feedback in real time to support team performance
- Maintain excellent patient experience standards using AIDET and clear communication
- Adhere to unit policies and participate in every-other-weekend coverage as scheduled
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years as a nurse, with at least 1 year of ER experience
- Preferred: 2 years in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or a very high-volume ED (>100,000 visits)
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and give feedback in real time
- Willingness to float within all areas of the Emergency Department
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic documentation
- Experience with Baxter infusion pumps and GE patient monitors
- Strong triage skills and familiarity with ED patient ratios (typically 4:1)
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency environment
- Excellent communication, patient experience focus and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
