Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care across the lifespan, including neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support for critically ill patients with skill and confidence
- Deliver bedside assessment, treatment, and cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures for varying acuity levels
- Participate in Level 2 NICU care for neonates requiring specialized respiratory support
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols
- Coach and educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and equipment when appropriate
Qualifications
- Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required; CRT not accepted
- Valid Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing
- Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP — all required
- Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program as required by licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience, with strong critical care and ventilator management background
- Experience in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, including Level 2 NICU experience
- Travel assignment experience preferred; not suitable for first-time travelers
Education
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and advanced mechanical ventilation strategies
- Critical care principles and bedside assessment for high-acuity patients
- Neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, including NICU protocols
- Cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and pulmonary function basics
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with infection control practices and respiratory equipment maintenance
- Accurate clinical documentation and EMR proficiency
