Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the emergency department
• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ED staff to develop and execute care plans
• Administer medications, start IVs, and manage acute interventions safely and efficiently
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses clearly and timely in the medical record
• Triage patients effectively to prioritize care for those in greatest need
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Support a culture of safety by following protocols, reporting concerns, and participating in quality improvement

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (ability to practice in Texas preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (experience in Emergency Department is a strong plus)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and TNCC highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Current immunizations and credentialing completed prior to assignment start

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage principles and emergency assessment skills
• Acute care interventions, IV therapy, and medication administration
• Familiarity with ED workflows and critical thinking under pressure
• Effective patient and family education techniques
• Team collaboration, clear clinical documentation, and time management
