Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating nights with weekend coverage (includes 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period)

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare, administer, and accurately document prescribed medications to keep patients safe
- Perform IV starts and manage IV therapy with skill and attention to detail
- Insert catheters and change dressings, delivering compassionate wound care
- Monitor and record vital signs and clinical measurements, escalating concerns promptly
- Adjust and operate specialized medical equipment as needed to support patient care
- Assess patients continuously and report adverse reactions or changes in condition in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and execute meaningful care plans
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families during care transitions
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — current and in good standing
- MedSurg clinical experience on a medical-surgical unit (experience with 14-bed MedSurg settings is a great fit)
- Proven skill in IV starts, medication administration, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
- Comfortable and experienced with 12-hour night shifts and weekend coverage
- Strong patient monitoring and documentation skills

- Medication administration best practices and safe documentation
- IV therapy management and vascular access skills
- Wound care techniques and dressing change protocols
- Vital signs monitoring and early recognition of patient deterioration
- Use and adjustment of specialized medical equipment
- Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
