Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and accurately document prescribed medications to keep patients safe
• Perform IV starts and manage IV therapy with skill and attention to detail
• Insert catheters and change dressings, delivering compassionate wound care
• Monitor and record vital signs and clinical measurements, escalating concerns promptly
• Adjust and operate specialized medical equipment as needed to support patient care
• Assess patients continuously and report adverse reactions or changes in condition in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and execute meaningful care plans
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families during care transitions

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — current and in good standing
• MedSurg clinical experience on a medical-surgical unit (experience with 14-bed MedSurg settings is a great fit)
• Proven skill in IV starts, medication administration, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
• Comfortable and experienced with 12-hour night shifts and weekend coverage
• Strong patient monitoring and documentation skills

• Vital signs monitoring and early recognition of patient deterioration
