Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards and best practices
• Assist providers and clinic staff in coordinating patient care and follow-up
• Serve as a primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinical teams to ensure clear communication
• Perform EKGs, monitor cardiac rhythms, and recognize/communicate arrhythmias promptly
• Administer cardiac medications safely and document actions accurately
• Support patient education and care coordination to improve outcomes and patient experience
• Contribute to a compassionate, team-oriented clinic culture focused on quality and safety

Qualifications

• Active MT Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS required
• ACLS required
• At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with clinic workflows, basic office/keyboarding skills, and charting/documentation best practices

Education

• Graduate of nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills with cardiac nursing focus
• Proficient in EKG interpretation and monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and related procedures
• Understanding of medical terminology and basic coronary class concepts
• Solid grasp of basic nursing principles and clinical procedures
• Care coordination and effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable with basic office tasks and keyboarding for accurate documentation
