Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards and best practices
- Assist providers and clinic staff in coordinating patient care and follow-up
- Serve as a primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinical teams to ensure clear communication
- Perform EKGs, monitor cardiac rhythms, and recognize/communicate arrhythmias promptly
- Administer cardiac medications safely and document actions accurately
- Support patient education and care coordination to improve outcomes and patient experience
- Contribute to a compassionate, team-oriented clinic culture focused on quality and safety
Qualifications
- Active MT Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS required
- ACLS required
- At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with clinic workflows, basic office/keyboarding skills, and charting/documentation best practices
Education
- Graduate of nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills with cardiac nursing focus
- Proficient in EKG interpretation and monitoring of cardiac arrhythmias
- Knowledge of cardiac medications and related procedures
- Understanding of medical terminology and basic coronary class concepts
- Solid grasp of basic nursing principles and clinical procedures
- Care coordination and effective communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable with basic office tasks and keyboarding for accurate documentation
