Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to long-term care residents during the night shift
• Perform thorough assessments and timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility policies
• Monitor resident condition changes and escalate concerns to providers and leadership
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and communicate effectively with families
• Support resident comfort, dignity, and individualized care plans during overnight hours
• Maintain a safe environment and assist with admissions/transfers as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be licensed in Montana or eligible to obtain licensure
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) preferred; previous night-shift nursing experience a plus
• Comfort working 12-hour overnight shifts and alternating 3/4 week schedules
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Geriatric and long-term care nursing principles
• Medication administration and IV/PO documentation
• Night-shift triage, assessment, and escalation
• Accurate electronic and paper charting practices
• Time management and prioritization during overnight hours
• Calm decision-making in independent/night settings
