Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the interventional cardiology and electrophysiology teams during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including PCI, Watchman/LAAO, EP studies and device implants
• Prepare and maintain Cath/EP lab equipment and sterile fields to ensure smooth, safe procedures
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and respond promptly to clinical changes, applying ACLS/BLS/PALS protocols when required
• Document procedures and patient data accurately in MacLab and other documentation systems
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and techs to coordinate patient flow and deliver one-to-one patient care when needed
• Perform equipment troubleshooting, inventory management and routine maintenance to support unit readiness
• Support post-procedure patient care and handoffs, ensuring clear communication and continuity

Qualifications

• Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required
• ARRT or RCIS certification with RTR license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab environment
• Proven proficiency with Cath/EP procedures such as diagnostic cath, PCI, EP studies/ablation and device implants
• Familiarity with MacLab documentation system
• Ability to participate in scheduled call duties, including one weekend per month and weekday call coverage as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology workflow
• Competence in sterile technique and procedural setup for Cath and EP cases
• Skill in patient monitoring, EKG interpretation basics and hemodynamic assessment
• Excellent teamwork and communication in high-acuity settings
• Detail-oriented documentation and data entry skills using MacLab
• Ability to multitask during fast-paced procedures while maintaining patient safety
