Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop timely care plans
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and monitor cardiac telemetry as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans with clarity and empathy
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact RN license eligible
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical nursing experience (progressive care or med-surg experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Demonstrated experience caring for telemetry or progressive care patients
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a team-first attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of progressive care principles and cardiac monitoring
• Proficiency with intravenous medication administration and infusion pumps
• Skilled in patient assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and handoff communication
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient-centered care
