Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage telemetry patients with vigilance and clinical confidence
• Provide progressive care-level nursing including assessments, medication administration, and interventions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, timely discharges and transfers
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support unit flow during quick-turnover and short-stay admissions
• Maintain a positive, patient-focused attitude and contribute to a compassionate team environment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina)
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience (progressive care/telemetry experience preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Demonstrated telemetry competency and progressive care experience
• Comfortable floating to other units as needed and working in a mixed acuity inpatient environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR or similar electronic charting systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Progressive care/step-down nursing practices
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
• IV medication administration and infusion management
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, quick-turnover unit
