Shift Type: Night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (overnight), rotating schedule with specific days varying; every other weekend required

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage telemetry patients with vigilance and clinical confidence
- Provide progressive care-level nursing including assessments, medication administration, and interventions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, timely discharges and transfers
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support unit flow during quick-turnover and short-stay admissions
- Maintain a positive, patient-focused attitude and contribute to a compassionate team environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina)
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience (progressive care/telemetry experience preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Demonstrated telemetry competency and progressive care experience
- Comfortable floating to other units as needed and working in a mixed acuity inpatient environment
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR or similar electronic charting systems
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Progressive care/step-down nursing practices
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records
- IV medication administration and infusion management
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, quick-turnover unit
