Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
• Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education during high-stress moments
• Document patient care and clinical findings thoroughly in Meditech
• Participate in unit call coverage and support staffing needs as required
• Follow unit guidelines, safety protocols and attendance policies to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with 2+ years of emergency specialty experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC required
• NIH training required
• Experience with Meditech is preferred
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts and meet call requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing and triage skills
• Proficient documentation in Meditech
• Critical thinking and fast decision-making under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and team members
• Team-oriented mindset and flexibility to float as needed
• Familiarity with ER protocols, trauma response and patient stabilization techniques
