Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts — Day: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Night: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Variable days (must be available all shifts, weekends included). Assignment requires a mandatory start at 7:00 AM on a Monday for the placement.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in all levels of acuity
- Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and implement appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, manage IVs and treatments consistent with ED protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, the ICU and long-term care teams when patients need transfer or specialty care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
- Advocate for patients and their families while maintaining safety and clinical standards
- Adapt quickly to variable shifts and changing unit needs while maintaining professionalism
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to practice in Hawaii or via Nurse Licensure Compact where applicable)
- Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department nursing experience (mandatory)
- Comfortable floating to ICU and Long Term Care units as needed
- Able and willing to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
- Current BLS required by facility (ensure you have required certifications ready)
Education
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
- Acute care knowledge for rapid interventions and stabilizing patients
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure situations
- Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks efficiently
- Proficient charting and documentation practices
- Flexibility to adapt to unit needs and cross-cover other departments
