Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiography procedures using prescribed techniques and proper patient positioning
• Prepare rooms, equipment, contrast material, and support devices for imaging exams
• Operate imaging equipment, select appropriate exposure settings, and adjust shielding to minimize radiation
• Complete daily cleaning and routine maintenance of x-ray/CT equipment
• Perform quality control tasks and maintain required QC reports for procedures performed
• Assist with scheduling, answering phones, and coordinating patient arrivals as needed
• Respond to call assignments and provide timely diagnostic imaging services
• Document procedures accurately and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training from an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration (required)
• CT certification and a minimum of 6 months experience in CT preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural community

Education

• Formal radiologic technologist training from an AMA-approved program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of computed tomography procedures and radiographic techniques
• Skilled in patient positioning and radiation protection practices
• Familiarity with contrast administration and related protocols
• Ability to perform equipment maintenance and basic diagnostic testing
• Experience with quality control processes and documentation
• Comfortable with scheduling and general office duties as needed
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
• Adaptability to rural health setting and team-oriented workflow
