Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT and radiography procedures using prescribed techniques and proper patient positioning
- Prepare rooms, equipment, contrast material, and support devices for imaging exams
- Operate imaging equipment, select appropriate exposure settings, and adjust shielding to minimize radiation
- Complete daily cleaning and routine maintenance of x-ray/CT equipment
- Perform quality control tasks and maintain required QC reports for procedures performed
- Assist with scheduling, answering phones, and coordinating patient arrivals as needed
- Respond to call assignments and provide timely diagnostic imaging services
- Document procedures accurately and collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care
Qualifications
- Completion of formal radiologic technologist training from an AMA-approved program
- ARRT registration (required)
- CT certification and a minimum of 6 months experience in CT preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- MRI experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to relocate to a rural community
Education
- Formal radiologic technologist training from an AMA-approved program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of computed tomography procedures and radiographic techniques
- Skilled in patient positioning and radiation protection practices
- Familiarity with contrast administration and related protocols
- Ability to perform equipment maintenance and basic diagnostic testing
- Experience with quality control processes and documentation
- Comfortable with scheduling and general office duties as needed
- Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills
- Adaptability to rural health setting and team-oriented workflow
