Shift Type: Rotating nights (12-hour), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC; schedule averages 36 hours/week; every other weekend required. (Clock-in 6:38 PM / Clock-out 7:15 AM per unit guidelines)

Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilator-dependent patients with expert ventilator management and weaning strategies to improve outcomes
- Perform ABG collection and analysis to guide respiratory interventions
- Deliver high flow O2 therapy and airway clearance procedures including Metaneb and Vapotherm
- Provide tracheostomy care and intubation assist during critical events
- Respond rapidly and effectively to code blue events as a vital member of the resuscitation team
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document care accurately in Meditech
- Transport patients safely when needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
Qualifications
- RRT or CRT credential (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required); PALS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- ICU experience preferred (one year ICU preferred per unit)
- Comfortable with high-acuity patients and advanced airway/ventilator procedures
Education
- Certified Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT) — required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ventilator management skills, including experience with Drager ventilators and Philips V60
- Proficiency with ABG collection and interpretation
- Familiarity with high flow O2 therapy, Vapotherm, Metaneb, and bronchodilator therapy
- Competence in trach care, intubation assist, and code blue response
- Experience using Meditech for clinical documentation
- Excellent patient assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
