Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility
- Assist patients with mobility exercises, strength training, and individualized rehabilitation programs
- Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist and adapt approaches as patients progress
- Monitor patient progress, accurately document treatment outcomes, and communicate changes to the care team
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques to support independence
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, healthcare regulations, and best practices for patient safety
Qualifications
- Active California PTA license (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Physical therapy treatments and bedside patient care
- Mobility exercises and strength training techniques
- Design and implementation of rehabilitation programs under PT supervision
- Clinical documentation and monitoring of patient progress
- Patient and family education on therapeutic and safety practices
- Familiarity with SNF workflows and regulatory compliance
