Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for trauma, burn, and surgical ICU patients
• Monitor and manage complex critical care equipment and respond to physiologic changes promptly
• Perform wound care, assist with massive transfusion protocols (MTP), manage EVDs, and support code responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the EMR (Meditech)
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to support informed decision making
• Support unit flow and safety while maintaining ICU patient ratios and standards of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience, with Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU exposure strongly preferred
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills; team-oriented mindset

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience in Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, and Surgical ICU environments
• Comfortable with critical care equipment and high-acuity procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for charting and clinical documentation
• Ability to manage ICU patient ratios (typically 2:1) and PCU workflows
• Skills in wound care, EVD management, MTP participation, and code response
• Excellent teamwork, situational awareness, and clinical judgment
