Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory treatment procedures with precision and compassion to improve patient breathing and outcomes
- Carry out diagnostic and monitoring procedures according to department protocols and physician orders
- Assess patients continuously and communicate changes clearly to the care team
- Administer therapeutic interventions and adjust treatments based on clinical response
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other clinicians to create seamless, patient-centered plans
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- State of Maine Respiratory Care License (required)
- RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification - obtain within 30 days of employment
- Two Year College Degree in respiratory care or related field
- Comfort working under the supervision of the Clinical Director and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Treatment, diagnostic, and monitoring procedures
- Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
- Following physician orders and department protocols
- Clear clinical documentation and communication
- Familiarity with respiratory equipment and troubleshooting
