Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory treatment procedures with precision and compassion to improve patient breathing and outcomes
• Carry out diagnostic and monitoring procedures according to department protocols and physician orders
• Assess patients continuously and communicate changes clearly to the care team
• Administer therapeutic interventions and adjust treatments based on clinical response
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other clinicians to create seamless, patient-centered plans
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• State of Maine Respiratory Care License (required)
• RRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification - obtain within 30 days of employment
• Two Year College Degree in respiratory care or related field
• Comfort working under the supervision of the Clinical Director and as part of a multidisciplinary team
