Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting system to produce timely service line profitability insights
• Publish monthly service line and physician practice P&L statements and scorecards
• Oversee and optimize the productivity system and train leaders on interpretation
• Lead use of the Decision Support system for strategic and financial planning projects
• Review feasibility studies in STRATA and support implementation of the STRATA forecast module
• Prepare reports and data for external agencies and audits, including rating agency reporting
• Provide oversight on software implementations (ERP components, leasing software) and related reporting needs
• Mentor and develop the decision support supervisor and special projects analyst

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or a similar system
• Healthcare experience, preferably in hospital finance, contracting or reimbursement
• Demonstrated experience producing P&L reporting and service line profitability analysis
• Proven experience preparing documentation and reporting for audits and external agencies
• Leadership experience mentoring staff and coordinating cross-functional projects
• Master's degree in Business Administration or Health Administration and financial/healthcare certifications are a plus

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cost accounting and budget management expertise
• Service line profitability analysis and P&L reporting
• STRATA software proficiency and rolling forecast/forecasting knowledge
• Financial analysis, forecasting and financial modeling
• Decision support systems and productivity tools
• Experience with ERP components and leasing software implementations
• Knowledge of reporting to rating agencies and requirements for audits (FEMA/Single Audit, GME, etc.)
• Familiarity with bundled payments, physician reimbursement and reimbursement models
• Strong ad hoc reporting, mentoring and cross-functional communication skills
