Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night rotations; schedule varies and may include weekends)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to progressive care and post-operative surgical trauma patients
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to dysrhythmias and changes in condition
- Manage IV medications and drips safely, including heparin and vasoactive infusions
- Perform thorough assessments and document accurately in the Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, techs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control and unit protocols
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (must be valid prior to start)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in PCU, telemetry or progressive care
- Comfort with post-operative care, cardiac monitoring and IV drip management
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset and adaptability in a busy trauma center
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV medication and drip management including heparin and vasoactive agents
- Post-operative and trauma patient care
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation and orders
- Ability to perform frequent patient assessments and prioritize care
- Comfort managing respiratory support (Venti mask, BiPAP, CPAP) and recognizing clinical deterioration
