Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess adult and pediatric patients to create individualized OT treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions focused on functional independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, family members, and caregivers to optimize outcomes
• Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate changes in care plans promptly
• Provide patient and caregiver education to support home programs and safe discharge
• Adapt interventions to diverse settings across Livingston and Washtenaw Counties

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license (state licensure required; Michigan licensure preferred)
• OTR/L or equivalent credentialing as required by the assignment
• Recent outpatient or home health OT experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between client homes or clinics
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in community settings

Education

• Entry-level: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Completion of required clinical fieldwork and national certification (NBCOT) as applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Familiarity with home safety evaluations and fall risk assessments
• Comfortable developing person-centered treatment plans and measurable goals
• Proficient documentation and electronic charting abilities
• Ability to build rapport quickly with diverse patient populations
