Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients with skill and compassion
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz and interpretation of data
• Manage ventilators and provide advanced ventilator care for post-op and critically ill patients
• Care for patients with arterial lines, central lines and chest tubes ensuring safety and function
• Operate and support CRRT and Impella therapies as needed on the unit
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Document thoroughly and accurately in the EMR (Meditech) to maintain continuity of care
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in critical interventions and post-op recovery

Qualifications

• RN (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or similar)
• Demonstrated ventilator management and invasive line (art/central) experience
• Experience with chest tube management and hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz)
• Familiarity with CRRT and Impella is a strong plus
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and/or CCRN are preferred but not required

Education

• RN required
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced cardiac and critical care assessment skills
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Mechanical ventilator management and respiratory support strategies
• Arterial line, central line and chest tube management
• Experience with CRRT, Impella devices and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR documentation
• Strong teamwork, communication and situational awareness in high-acuity settings
