Shift Type: Rotating 7 days on / 7 days off (on rotation: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 4x10 schedule); on-call coverage during on rotation; every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Staff the inpatient pharmacy during 7-day on rotations, ensuring safe and timely medication delivery
- Prepare and compound sterile and IV medications using aseptic technique
- Use Epic and medication dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis) to verify orders and document care
- Provide clinical dosing and therapeutic drug monitoring, including anticoagulation and renal dosing
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Serve as on-call pharmacist during scheduled rotations and support after-hours staffing as needed
- Participate in medication safety initiatives and help maintain pharmacy compliance and quality standards
- Educate staff and patients on medication use, monitoring, and best practices
Qualifications
- RPh (license credential listed as a required/desired certification)
- Minimum 1 year of acute care / inpatient pharmacy experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with medication dispensing systems (Pyxis preferred)
- IV certification preferred and experience with sterile compounding
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Ability to provide on-call coverage and work every other weekend as scheduled
Knowledge & Skills
- Inpatient / acute care pharmacy workflows
- Medication dispensing systems (Pyxis) and automated dispensing familiarity
- Epic electronic charting and medication order verification
- Intravenous preparation and sterile compounding techniques
- Clinical dosing expertise: anticoagulation, cardiac, pediatric, pharmacokinetic, renal dosing
- Therapeutic medication monitoring and warfarin management
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
