Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and develop individualized, recovery-focused plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Coordinate nursing care and provide clinical direction and oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff
• Deliver safe, compassionate, person-centered care across a variety of clinical settings
• Document, report, and verify all required information according to policies and standards
• Monitor patients for safety risks and promptly communicate concerns to physicians and the team
• Provide milieu management and support discharge and aftercare planning with families and significant others
• Function as a clinical leader by delegating assignments, promoting staff development, and supporting quality improvement
• Model the mission and values of the organization through professional conduct and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience required
• Experience providing person-centered, recovery-focused care in inpatient or residential settings
• Comfort functioning as a charge nurse or clinical leader is a plus
• Willingness to complete and maintain required programmatic training and demonstrate competency

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN preferred)

• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills
• Medication management and oversight in behavioral health settings
• Excellent documentation and clinical communication
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and team-based care
• Milieu management and maintaining a therapeutic environment
• Ability to teach and support patients and families
• Skills in staff coaching, scheduling, and staff development
