Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate in cath/IR/EP cases — coordinate the team and keep procedures running smoothly
• Administer medications and procedural sedation safely and monitor patient responses
• Continuously monitor hemodynamics and patient status throughout procedures
• Perform sterile technique and assist with scrub or monitor roles when trained
• Chart accurately in Cerner and Merge to ensure clear, timely patient records
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, radiologists and techs to deliver excellent care
• Respond to on-call activations within the expected response time and provide seamless handoffs
• Participate in orientation, continuing education and quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Arizona (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA (required)
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or procedural nursing experience (position posts 1 year minimum)
• Preferred 2–3 years of experience in cath lab and interventional radiology and/or vascular/structural heart procedures
• Comfort with medication administration, hemodynamic monitoring and circulating/scrub roles
• Ability to meet on-call commitments and respond within the expected call response time

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Strong sterile technique and procedural asepsis
• Experience or comfort with Cerner EMR and Merge hemodynamic charting
• Familiarity with equipment such as Phillips x-ray/table, ultrasound, Impella, IABP
• Knowledge of vascular, structural heart (TAVR, MitraClip) and electrophysiology procedures
• Excellent patient monitoring, critical thinking and communication skills
