Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Measure and report vital signs and changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with meal service and feeding, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care activities
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and care team members to implement individualized care plans
• Engage with residents/patients and families to promote a positive experience and emotional support

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — North Carolina certification preferred or ability to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated compassion, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Able to take and record vital signs accurately
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and team members
• Knowledge of basic infection control and patient safety practices
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment
