Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate overnight care, assisting with bathing, toileting, dressing, and other activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patient conditions and vital signs accurately during the shift
• Assist nursing staff with bedside treatments and follow individualized care plans
• Respond promptly to call lights and urgent patient needs, prioritizing safety
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Support patient mobility and transfers using safe body mechanics
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Contribute to a restful and reassuring overnight experience for residents

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania) required
• Comfort working the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Clear background check and health screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection control and facility safety practices
• Effective, compassionate communication with patients and team members
• Time management and prioritization during overnight shifts
