Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to the care team
• Assist with mobility, transfers and safe patient handling to promote independence
• Support bathing, dressing and feeding while preserving dignity and comfort
• Document resident status and care provided in the chart with clarity and timeliness
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through reliable, kind care
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active CNA authorization or ability to obtain CNA certification in Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and a genuine passion for patient care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, bathing, toileting and feeding assistance
• Able to take and document vital signs and observe changes in condition
• Familiarity with safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
• Basic charting and documentation skills; willingness to learn facility systems
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
