Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and skilled treatment to maximize functional outcomes
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record system
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and fall prevention
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and contribute to discharge planning
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Montana or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
- Active BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Excellent clinical assessment and manual therapy skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with an interdisciplinary staff
- Previous outpatient or acute care PT experience preferred; motivated new graduates who meet licensure requirements are welcome
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in musculoskeletal assessment and therapeutic exercise prescription
- Knowledge of manual therapy techniques and functional mobility training
- Proficient documentation and outcome measurement to track patient progress
- Ability to educate patients and caregivers effectively and compassionately
- Comfortable working independently in a travel/contract setting and adapting to new workflows
