Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across abdomen, OB/GYN, vascular, neonatal and superficial structures with accuracy and compassion
• Conduct ultrasound-guided procedures including aspirations, biopsies and drainages safely and effectively
• Provide intraoperative imaging support when required to assist surgical teams
• Review and interpret imaging, document findings, and communicate relevant information to the care team
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment (Canon i700) and manage images within PACS (Fuji Synapse) and EMR (Meditech)
• Deliver high-quality patient care in an acute hospital setting, including pediatric and neonatal patients
• Float to other units as needed and respond to on-call requests to ensure continuous patient coverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience performing diagnostic medical sonography in an acute hospital setting
• ARDMS – AB (Abdominal) certification
• ARDMS – OB certification and/or relevant OB/GYN credentials
• RVT (ARDMS) for vascular imaging
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Proven experience with Canon i700, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS preferred
• Comfortable with on-call work and floating between departments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in abdominal imaging (Aorta, IVC, liver, biliary, pancreas, spleen, renal)
• Proficiency in OB/GYN imaging including transvaginal exams and all trimesters of OB scanning
• Experience with neonatal head and pediatric ultrasound
• Vascular duplex expertise including carotid duplex and segmental pressure studies
• Ultrasound-guided procedures and intraoperative ultrasound techniques
• Solid image interpretation and acute-care patient management
• Familiarity with PACS, EMR workflows, and proper documentation practices
