Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
- Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
- Support a safe, clean, and dignified environment for residents
- Report clinical changes promptly to nurses and participate in care planning
- Build meaningful relationships with residents — offer comfort, conversation, and respect
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Active authorization to work in Pennsylvania
- Comfortable working evenings and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary care team
- Basic familiarity with electronic charting preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and strong observational skills
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
- Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
