Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and promote dignity in daily routines
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) with patience and respect
- Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting important changes to the nursing team
- Document resident care accurately and timely to support continuity and safety
- Support safe mobility and transfer techniques to protect residents and yourself
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate attitude, dependable attendance, and a commitment to resident-centered care
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a state-approved CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living) and basic resident care
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection control and safety best practices
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
- Gentle transfer and positioning techniques and resident mobility support
