Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, preserving dignity and comfort
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility) with respect and patience
- Monitor resident condition and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Perform routine documentation and charting accurately and on time
- Support safe and clean living environments by following infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families through clear, kind communication
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and any facility-required screenings
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Comfort with standing, walking, and assisting patients for the duration of a shift
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in resident care and assistance with ADLs
- Familiarity with basic charting/documentation best practices
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes accurately
- Time management to balance resident needs and shift responsibilities
