Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to residents including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, report changes to the nursing team, and support care plans
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk and maintain resident independence
• Support feeding and hydration needs, and monitor intake/output as instructed
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control protocols
• Document care accurately and collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families to promote dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania (current and in good standing)
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or able to obtain quickly
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team
• Previous direct care experience is a plus; open to newer grads with completed training

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care, mobility assistance, and ADL support
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe transfer and fall-prevention techniques
• Infection control, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
• Clear charting and timely communication with nursing staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and the ability to work in a fast-paced care setting
