Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers, using safe body mechanics
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility records
• Collaborate with nurses and other care team members to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support emotional needs and offer respectful, dignified interactions with patients and families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Comfort with overnight hours and working in a long-term/skilled nursing environment
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and facility health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Accurate documentation and attention to detail
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships
