Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive adult echocardiography studies, including 2D imaging and Doppler (CW and PW)
• Acquire and interpret color flow mapping and valvular disease studies to inform clinical decisions
• Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) studies with proficiency
• Evaluate cardiomyopathies, pericardial disease and effusions with attention to detail
• Collaborate with the care team and document findings accurately in Epic EMR
• Float to other departments when needed to support patient care and workflow
• Maintain equipment competency with Canon i700 and i900 devices and report maintenance needs
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent imaging needs professionally

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in an acute hospital setting
• RDCS certification required; ARDMS or CCI certification also accepted
• Active AHA BLS certification
• Proven competence in adult echocardiography including 2D, Doppler CW & PW, color flow mapping and valvular studies
• Experience performing 2D and 3D TEEs
• Familiarity with Canon i700 and i900 ultrasound systems
• Experience with Epic EMR is a plus
• Pediatric echocardiography experience is helpful but not required
• Ability and willingness to float to other departments and work collaboratively

Knowledge & Skills

• Adult echocardiography techniques (2D, Doppler, color flow mapping)
• Transesophageal echocardiography (2D and 3D) skills
• Valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, congenital and pericardial disease evaluation
• Proficiency with Canon i700 and i900 equipment
• Strong patient communication and positioning skills
• Accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute hospital environment
• On-call responsiveness and adaptability to changing clinical needs
