Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate medical-surgical nursing care during night shifts
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor changes, and intervene appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per orders and protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Respond effectively to emergencies and use advanced life support skills when needed
• Accurately document care, handoffs, and clinical observations in the EHR
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Negative TB screen within 12 months of contract start date (proof required)
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing and comfort working 12-hour night shifts
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and credentialing in a timely manner

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medical-surgical clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Proficient medication administration and IV/infusion management
• Comfortable responding to acute changes and emergency situations
• Effective communication and teamwork during night shift operations
• Accurate electronic health record documentation and handoff skills
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
