Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as an LPN
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
- Perform regular patient assessments and timely documentation
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to coordinate care
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting dignity
- Communicate clearly with families and team members about care plans
- Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
- Eligibility to work in New Mexico (local-only assignment)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable with overnight clinical responsibilities and med administration
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Education
- Completed Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma/certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Resident assessment, wound care basics, and ADL support
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
- Infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
- Good time management, triage, and prioritization under pressure
- Friendly bedside manner and family-centered communication
