Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output and changes in condition with accuracy
• Assist licensed staff with safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Follow infection prevention and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, patient-centered communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program or equivalent experience
• Comfort and experience working the night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program (or equivalent state-approved training)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Knowledge of vital signs, charting and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes to nurses and supervisors
• Teamwork, reliability and strong time management on busy shifts
