Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Gettysburg, PA
Shift Type: Varied days based on staffing needs, primarily nights (3rd shift), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
- Document care provided clearly and promptly in the patient record
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
- Support patient transfers, ambulation and positioning with attention to safety
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification and current listing on the Pennsylvania CNA registry
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and strong working knowledge of ADLs
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively on a team and follow clinical direction
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
