Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with daily living activities
- Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Perform safe transfers, ambulation assistance, and support for mobility needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and communication in charts
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe environment
- Support mealtime and hygiene needs while preserving patient dignity
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to enhance outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
- Background check and ability to work in a long-term care setting
- Compassionate bedside manner, strong communication, and teamwork skills
Education
- CNA certification required; High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with documentation and electronic medical records is a plus
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
- Awareness of infection control and safety procedures
