Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy and progressive therapeutic exercise to help patients regain function
• Provide high-quality care across outpatient orthopedic, sports rehab, and general rehabilitation populations, with occasional inpatient involvement
• Document patient progress thoroughly and communicate outcomes with the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, athletic trainers, and other clinicians to coordinate patient-centered care
• Participate in rotating weekend call and support coverage needs as scheduled
• Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and safe return-to-activity plans

Qualifications

• Current or compact-eligible Physical Therapist license in Colorado (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Experience in outpatient orthopedics and sports rehabilitation; some inpatient rehab exposure preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong clinical assessment, manual therapy, and exercise prescription skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for a rural/seasonal community setting
• Ability to adapt to variable caseloads and participate in rotating weekend coverage

• Orthopedic evaluation and differential diagnosis
• Sports rehabilitation protocols and return-to-sport planning
• Manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise progression
• Patient education and home exercise program development
• Clinical documentation best practices and working with interdisciplinary teams
• Comfort working in a high-altitude, rural environment with variable patient populations
