Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide compassionate, respectful bedside care that preserves dignity
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
- Help with safe transfers and mobility support to prevent falls
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
- Support mealtime assistance and monitor patient intake as directed
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
- Ability to work night shifts; reliable attendance is essential
- Basic patient care experience is preferred; new graduates with strong skills welcome
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort with resident lifting and safe transfer techniques
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
- Understanding of safe patient handling and mobility support
- Ability to observe, report changes, and follow care plans
- Compassionate interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
