Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents: assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Observe and document resident conditions and behaviors accurately and promptly
• Assist with safe mobility and transfers while using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
• Support nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and timely communication of changes in condition
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding as needed, mindful of dietary needs and preferences
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents and their families
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to person-centered care planning

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (active in Pennsylvania required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work the evening shift schedule

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and safe patient handling
• Comfortable with charting and basic documentation (paper or electronic)
• Understanding of infection prevention and resident rights
• Good observational skills to notice changes in resident conditions
• Teamwork and the ability to follow direction from licensed nursing staff
• Time management to prioritize resident needs during shift
